Licensing for BC Home Inspectors
On January 30th, 2009, the British Columbia government announced that it would be the first province in Canada to license home inspectors. As of March 31st, 2009 anyone wishing to practice as a home inspector in British Columbia will require a license. To operate as a home inspector and be licensed in BC, home inspectors will need to meet the qualifications of one of the following associations or authorities:
